મળે જો શૈશવ પાછું અમોને,
નથી આશા હવે ભવીષ્યનાં જીવનની.
જે વીતાવ્યું જીવન અમે,
ઘાણીના બળદથી શું એ કમ હતું?
રડી હસીને કાઢ્યાં દીવસો,
સંસારની સરગમ ગાવા અમે.
થાય છે અતી ઉચાટ મનમાં,
યાદ કરતાં જીંદગી ભુતકાળની.
વહાવી દીધું યૌવન અમે,
પાણીના મુલે અલ્પકાળમાં.
જોયા છે મરદ અમે ઘણાં,
જીવી ગયા શી ભલી જીંદગી.
રહસ્ય એનું પામવા અમે,
જોયા કંઇક ભડવીરને.
પીછાણ્યું એક સત્ય અમે,
જીવ્યા એ બાળક સમ નીર્દોષતાથી.
એટલે જ સ્તો અમે પણ,
માગીએ, શૈશવ મળે ફરી.
